Life through a lens

We’ve started watching more and more of Food Network again. We go through phases where we watch it and then we don’t. Too many good things, but not necessarily good for you. *Looks at Paula Deen’s direction* :)

Well this week we caught an episode of Guy’s Big Bite and he was making a Mojito Chicken. It looked so good that we had to get everything to make the dish and that is what we did and let me tell you... I. Was. Amazing. Sheri and I just loved the chicken. It turned out great. I’m happy because when your the cook, you want your meal to turn out good and thankfully I did everything just right. I’ve been cooking for so long that I
should have known it would, but you never know.

So next Sunday, I think we will make another chicken dish from Guy or one of the other Food Network personalities. For those interested in the dish, here’s the link: www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,1977,FOOD_9936_...

Now for the photo.

Sheri and I have two pools, one indoors and one outdoors and a jacuzzi at our apartment. We’ve been going in the pool and I have been wanting to swim under water and not worry about opening my eyes. You see, I wear contacts and don’t want to lose them or what have you and I don’t want to take them out and be blind, which is not fun.

A little side story. Two nights ago, Sheri and were awoken at 2:30am to the fire alarm and Sheri had to lead the way as we walked down the stairs and to the front lobby. Surprised to see that a building with at least hundred people living in it, only three others had bothered to leave their apartments and went outside. I guess people don’t care to live, because I don’t see that many people sleeping through that alarm. Anyway, it was a false alarm and all was well.

Back to the photo.

These are my new pair of goggles, for when I go to the pool. I will finally be able to see underwater! :D
